Beaches
Key West is known for its beautiful beaches, and almost all are a short walk from the house. Some of our favourites include South Beach, Higgs Beach, Smathers Beach, and Fort Zachary Taylor Beach.
Conch Train Tours
See the Best on the train tour that's been entertaining visitors to the Island City of Key West, Florida since 1958. The Conch Train is one of Florida's most popular attractions, and for good reason. The friendly staff have delighted over 15 million guests with legends such as Ernest Hemingway and lores of this charming tropical paradise.
Museums & Other Sites
No visit to Key West would be complete without a visit to a few of its fascinating museums. This little island is filled with important United States history, unique geography and eco-system, and a plethora of interesting local characters.
Natural history, culture, art, and local history should be explored at Key West’s local museums, and here are places we recommend:

Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center
Key West Lighthouse & Keeper’s Museum
Key West Aquarium

Key West Boat Tours
When you're not admiring the waters that surround Key West from the beach, enjoy them from the deck of a boat. Several companies offer sailing, snorkeling and kayaking tours, not to mention sunset cruises. There are also several tours designed exclusively for dolphin watching (the Florida Keys are a refuge for hundreds of dolphins every year).
Duval Street
Duval Street is Key West's main tourist strip, with restaurants and shops designed to entertain tourists. This is the place to begin, or perhaps end, a day of sightseeing. Historic homes and some of the city's most popular tourist attractions and places to visit can be found along Duval Street, which stretches from Mallory Square to the Southernmost Point marker. This area is also host to several events and festivals throughout the year, including the Hemingway Days Festival, held each summer. With shops, cafes, music pubs, and a mecca of everything key lime, Duval is a must see highlight of Key West.
